Thopadak Wanchalerm is Sing's Thai fighting name, which he used for many years whilst fighting in Bangkok.  Sinbi Taewoong is Sing's Korean fighting name, which he uses when fighting K-1.  Sinbi means 'mysterious' in Korean and Taewoong is the name of the gym where he trained.  It was the owner of this gym who brought him to Korea to fight K-1.  Sing is his Thai nickname, all thai's have these.  Sing is an owner, manager and head trainer at Sinbi Muay Thai camp.

Born in the Songkhla Province in southern Thailand, Sing grew up with two brothers and one sister. He started training Muay Thai at the age of 9. His father who had been a fighter himself and subsequently became a rice grower, trained him and his brothers at home. His sister (who now works at Sinbi Muay Thai) often helped too by holding the pads for her brothers when they were young).  His mother worked as a fruit tree farmer. Sing had 30 fights in his home province Songkhra in the town of Natawee, with his first fight at the age of 9. He was South Thailand Champion at 70lbs.  At the age of 13 Sing left his home and moved to Bangkok with a friend to live and train in a gym there (Loog-tap-agat gym). His manager there was Wanpaded, himself a Racthadermnoen Champion.  At the same time as training he went to school and finished high school at the age of 19. He went to University afterwards to study Sports Science and graduated at 24. During this time Sing trained at the same gym and fought over 100 fights in Bangkok. Sing fought in the famous and prestigious Lumpinee and Ratchadamnoen stadiums in Bangkok where only the best fighters compete. He was ranked number 1 at both these stadiums.  At the age of 25, Sing went to live and work in Korea for 6 months as a Muay Thai trainer and he fought for Taewoong Muay Thai gym in Seoul. The following year Sing moved to Phuket to work as a trainer at the gym of a friend of his whom he met in the gym in Bangkok. They went to school together. While training a large number of foreign Muay Thai students and tourists, Sing started learning English at this stage. In 2005 Sing went to England for  to fight and to teach Muay Thai in Birmingham at Trojan Gym. In 2006 Sing had a fight in Sydney, Australia as well as fighting in a KOMA event in Korea where he had three fights in one day in Seoul. He had fought the KOMA event previously in 2005 and won the event. The first time Sing was fighting in a K-1 MAX event was in Busan, Korea in February 2006. His second K-1 fight was in the K-1 KHAN Fighting Network in Seoul, Korea in September 2006 where he won against the Mongolian fighter ByamBa by KO in the 2nd round. In total, Sing has ten Championship belts to his name.  He opened Sinbi Muay Thai Camp in January 2007.

Sing has recently expanded his business interests to include promoting Muay Thai events under the banner of Sinbi Promotions.  Sinbi Promotions has held events in Nai Harn, Bangla Stadium, Patong and Pattalung in the South of Thailand.

Name
Thai nickname: Pot
Fighting name: Banpot Sor Ramayanon
Date of birth: 6 January 1983
First Fight: 11
Fights: 140+

Titles:
Number 2 ranked fighter at Rachadamnern Stadium at Bangkok
Number 4 ranked fight at Lumpinee Stadium at Bangkok
South Thailand champion at 85 and 90lb

Pot had no history of Muay Thai in his family but watched his school mates training for the local gym with envy.  Eventually his father asked him if he would like to go and train at the local gym too and, as the say, the rest is history.  Pot was 11 years old at the time and within three weeks of starting his training at the local gym in Trang he had his first fight, which he won.  He said he felt proud, happy and in pain all at the same time.  Following this he had many successive wins and was the South Thailand Champion at 85 lbs, 90 lbs, and 100 lbs.  At 15 he was selected to go to Bangkok and was at the same gym as Sing - Loogtapagat.  His manager was Wanpaded, now known as Yord Wanpadad, the famous promoter at Rachadamern.  He regularly fought at Lumpinee, Rachadamnern, and TV3.  He got better and better and began to command very high purses for his fights.  His best fight was at Lumpinee when he was nineteen years old and 128 lbs.  He fought Wadcharachai from Gail Sum Rit gym and won.  He also fought Buakaw a couple of times during the course of his fighting career.  At 130 lbs he was ranked number 2 at Lumpinee, Rachadamnern and TV3.  Unfortunately his career came to an abrubt end when he suffered a knee injury whilst playing football with the other fighters at his gym in Bangkok.  He is an excellent trainer now and speaks very good English.  He has been at Sinbi Muay Thai since it opened and particularly likes teaching clinching technique.  He has a young son Nat who regularly trains at the gym.  Pot thinks his son will eventually become a fighter too but feels that the decision as to whether or not to do so will be Nat's.  Outside the gym, he likes fishing and the biggest fish he ever landed was his wife Plaa (which is the Thai word for fish)!  He has recently appeared on the Channel 7 gameshow Pan Naa.  His challenge was to beat a total of 288 knees to the bag (achieved by three celebrities on the show each working for one minute) in three minutes, without a break.  Pot managed to achieve 320 knees to the bag!

Fighting name: Nopadetlek Chuwathana
Date of birth: 2 September 1980
First Fight: 10
Fights: 180+

Titles:
Rajadamnern Champion at 100 lbs

Det's father was a fighter and was very well known in the South of Thailand.  He began training Det at his home when he was 9 years old.  In his early days as a fighter Det was not a member of any gym.  All his training was done on the farm.  Det comes from Kapoe, a town in Ranong and his parents have a farm in a remote part of the jungle far away from any main roads.  Hanging in a barn at his parent's farm there still remains the bag he used to train with when he was young.

At 14 years of age a friend of the family saw Det's potential and took him to Bangkok to train at Chuwattana Gym.  The manager there was Chujarern, now a promoter at Ratchadermnoen Stadium.  Other famous Muay Thai fighters trained at this gym include: Noppadet; Muangfarlek; and Samaisuk.  Det trained at this gym until he was 21.

During the course of his fighting career Det had many notable fights including matches with: Kimchi Sinbi (the now resident Thai fighter at Sinbi Muay Thai); and Anuwat from Kaewsamrit Gym.  He fought at Ratchdermnoen more than 100 times and had at least 80 wins.  He has fought in Japan 10 times and Korea 3 times.

At 21 Det joined the army to do National Service.  He fought respresenting the army many times.

Det has been working at Sinbi Muay Thai for two years and loves teaching beginners.  As well as working as a trainer, he also runs a local street restaurant.  This restaurant is very popular with students at the camp as it is known for providing delicious, value for money food.

Name
Thai nickname: Bao V
Fighting name: V sitsornchai
Date of birth: 19 February 1970
First Fight: 15
Fights: 50+

Bao V is the brother of Sinbi Taewoong and they used to train together when Sinbi was a young boy and Bao V was a little older! Bao V has been training fighters for many years and is extremely experienced. His very fast paced style of pad holding will always keep you on your toes as he likes to throw plenty of feints and tricks to make sure you're working defense as much as working on your striking technique.
